APPLICATION

• Designed for melt temperatures between 720–740 °C

• Endothermic salt formulation

• Nearly dust-free granules with reduced emissions

• Typical dosage: approximately 0.05% of metal weight; depending on the raw material, melt treatment, and alloy type

• Suitable for all furnace types

• Preparation: Ensure all materials and tools are dry, clean, and preheated before use.

• Drossing: Spread the granules evenly over the melt surface. After brief heating, stir into the dross, allow short holding time, then remove dry, powdery dross without metal loss. It is recommended to gather the dross near the furnace door to cool it and then to take it out of the furnace.

• Cleaning: Apply granules onto the melt surface and stir using a plunger to ensure intensive contact between liquid salt and liquid metal. After reaction, gather and remove dross. Repeat if impurity levels are high.

• Covering: Spread granules evenly over the melt surface. Once heated, the salt becomes liquid, forming a protective layer against reoxidation and hydrogen introduction. Stir lightly before casting and remove remaining dross.
